About

A technical partner that stays with the systems it builds

BUILT is a web and systems development company for established businesses whose technical needs extend beyond a single launch. We build websites, internal systems, integrations, and ongoing improvements around the way the business actually works.

Clients work directly with the person responsible for understanding the problem, shaping the technical approach, and staying accountable after launch.

Best suited for businesses that need one technical partner across websites, internal systems, integrations, and ongoing improvement.

Based in Utah. Working with teams across the United States.

Why BUILT exists

The work rarely ends when the first project launches

Businesses often hire one company for the website, another provider for software, and a series of developers for everything that changes afterward. Each handoff loses context, and no one remains responsible for how the pieces work together.

I started BUILT after seeing that pattern repeatedly. The website, internal tools, integrations, and ongoing improvements are usually connected, but the people responsible for them are not.

BUILT is designed to own that connected technical layer: build what is needed now, retain the context behind it, and keep improving the system as the business changes.

The working model

Senior technical work without the layers of a traditional agency

Clients work directly with the person responsible for the technical decisions and delivery. There is no account layer translating the work, and no revolving team relearning the environment from project to project.

Direct communication. Senior execution. Clear technical ownership.

  1. 01

    Clients bring business context

You know how the work runs, where it breaks down, and which outcomes matter most.

  2. 02

    BUILT owns the technical work

Scoping, architecture, development, testing, deployment, and accountability stay with one technical partner.

  3. 03

    Specialists join only when needed

Additional expertise can be brought in for a specific discipline without adding another permanent management layer.

Principles

What guides the work

Three principles shape how BUILT decides what to build, what to preserve, and how much complexity the solution actually needs.

Build around the operation

Understand how the work, content, systems, and handoffs function before choosing the platform or solution.

The system should fit the business, not force the business into unnecessary workarounds.

Keep complexity proportional

Use custom development where it solves a meaningful problem, and preserve or connect existing tools when replacement would add more cost than value.

Nothing is added simply because it is technically interesting.

Design for continued ownership

Create systems with clear structure, documented decisions, and a practical path for maintenance, expansion, and future improvements.

The next phase should build on what already exists rather than begin with another reset.
